Stronger together: 1xINTERNET and BVMW

"Community makes you strong", states the website of BVMW (Der Mittelstand. BVMW). Sharing that same belief in community, open exchange and mutual learning, we joined the BVMW shortly after founding 1xINTERNET in 2013. Over a decade later, we remain proud members - and today, we rely on this spirit of collaboration more than ever.

A strong partner for medium-sized companies

Since its founding in 1975, the BVMW has been dedicated to strengthening German small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and advocating for their interests in both politics and business. The association supports companies through networking events, valuable connections, political representation, and training opportunities.

11 years of membership

1xINTERNET became a member of the BVMW shortly after the company was founded in 2013. In the highly competitive and emerging economic landscape of Frankfurt, it is essential to be well connected and stand out of the crowd. Thanks to the BVMW, we are always kept well informed about regional developments, benefiting from a warm and open collaboration. 

We regularly contribute by offering keynote speeches or by sponsoring events like the 50 year anniversary reception. Our recent talks covered topics such as  "The Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in CMS" and "Digital Accessibility" in order to support the business community. We also enjoy gaining valuable insights and expertise from other members.

Sponsorship: Reception for the anniversary of BVMW

We were honoured to be one of the sponsors of the anniversary reception of the BVMW on the 1st of April 2025 in Frankfurt. This event took place in the headquarters of DVAG, which also celebrated its 50th anniversary.

50 years of entrepreneurial spirit

To celebrate entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration, about 230 guests gathered at the headquarters of Deutsche Vermögensberatung.

The evening was hosted by Cornelia Gärtner, Managing Director of the Rhine-Main Economic Region and the Frankfurt District Association of BVMW. Cornelia welcomed the evening's speakers and made the presentation of certificates to long-standing members, which was a highlight of the evening.

The enduring influence of the Mittelstand

According to the BVMW, SMEs account for 99% of all companies in Germany. They are the backbone of the German economy - driving innovation, creating jobs and ensuring regional stability. We're honoured to be part of it.

Ahlhaus encouraged SMEs to see the challenges of today's uncertain political landscape not as a barrier but as an opportunity. He called on them to uphold the core values that define the Mittelstand, such as a strong work ethic and a spirit of innovation. At the same time, he highlighted the importance of strengthening the association’s role as a critical voice in politics: challenging existing policies and contributing fresh, forward-thinking ideas.

Magical entertainment

The stage program concluded with a captivating finale by entertainer Thorsten Ophaus, whose performance left the audience both astonished and delighted. In a surprising twist, he inflated a balloon to the point of bursting - and it transformed into a bottle of champagne. 

This smooth transition from the stage programme into the networking session set the perfect tone for the evening, which continued with great food, drinks, and lively exchanges of ideas. A big thank you to everyone who made it possible!
